Farm Update: Fun in the Sun Sunday Workshops and Summer Ed at the Farm

About Us  |  Events

Join Us for the Fun in the Sun Sundays Series!

Come learn the gesture and rhythm of Asian Brush Painting, and capture the beauty of Crossroads Farm’s summer flowers. Bring your blanket, hat, and water bottle and come on down to paint! A demonstration will be followed by painting outside and sharing of artwork. All levels are welcome and materials (brushes, watercolors, paper, palettes) will be provided.

Learn how to create natural colorful dyes using veggies, flowers, and spices from the garden! Using these dyes and tie-dyeing techniques, participants will dye a t-shirt. Bring a white cotton t-shirt and Crossroads will provide the rest!

Click here to purchase tickets for workshops!

Summer Ed at the Farm!

Our Young Farmers loved harvesting green peppers, carrots, and peas in the pod!

Our almost teenagers explored the farm for the perfect spot in the shade to paint the raspberries, lavender, sunflowers, and architecture among the plants!

From the Farm Stand

We have an incredible basil crop this year that’s available in our farm stand! Use our organic basil and garlic to create a great basil pesto! Pair your pesto with our amazing organic tomatoes that are finally in season.

It’s tomato time! Stop by our farm stand to pick up your organic tomatoes grown right on Crossroads Farm!

Crossroads Farm is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our children and their adult supervisors during our outdoor experiential learning. In light of the recent COVID-19 health crisis our staff will make safety our first priority by following mandatory and recommended best practices from the CDC, EPA and NYS Reopening guidelines while continuing to provide stimulating, interactive learning experiences for our guests. Our farm is an inviting, restorative, and special place.

Our commitment to your safety includes learning that takes place only outdoors while ensuring safe distancing. Visual markers posted around our farm indicate 6 feet distances. Our education staff will always wear masks when interacting with children. Children and their chaperones must bring masks and may be asked to put them on when social distancing cannot be maintained. We will practice appropriate hand washing and sharing protocols using New York State Reopening guidelines.

High-touch areas and restroom facilities will be properly sanitized adhering to EPA guidelines.
