We Wish David Good Luck in his Coming School Year!
David Gambino has been a long time volunteer and a farm assistant during this spring and summer season here at Crossroads farm. He’s an integral part of the farm and has helped develop and implement many new programs including a cover cropping and mulching program and a new row spacing system. David is majoring in Sustainable Agriculture Systems at Delaware Valley University, we wish him continued success in his sophomore year. His diligence and hard work will be missed. We look forward to next year to see what innovative and new ideas he brings to the farm!

Try a New Corn Recipe !
Corn is available this Saturday at the Farmers Market tables and Wednesday through Sunday in the farm stand. Please stop by and purchase Long Island’s Best bi-colored corn and try out this spicy corn recipe:
Spicy Corn on the Cob with Lime Butter
Ingredients
- 4 large fresh corn on the cob, shucked
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- zest of 1 lime
- 1 lime, quartered
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt, plus more for finishing
- ground cayenne and/or pepper to taste, optional
- minced fresh parsley, optional
Directions
- In a small pot combine butter, lime zest, salt and red pepper flakes. If using, add pepper and/or cayenne. Once butter has melted, stir, turn off heat and let ingredients steep.
- Add corn to a pot of boiling water well salted. Boil for 6 to 7 minutes, uncovered. Remove from heat, and set aside. Drizzle butter mixture over ears of corn and finish with a squeeze of lime, a pinch of salt and a sprinkle of parsley.
