Dear [sendto],

Crossroads Farm is pleased to announce that we will be teaming up with G&G Long Island Farmer’s Market to host a pop-up market at the Farm on Saturday, April 18th, from 9 to 1.  The event will include these local food vendors:

Please join us for this local market event coming right up this Saturday, April 18th!  This is the first opportunity to pick up farm seedlings and will support the local market purveyors we are hosting.

Holding this market (and others to be announced) aligns with our plans for limiting public events during this time of social distancing and conforms to CDC and State of New York guidelines.  The food products will be individually packaged and the folks at the tables will be wearing masks and asking customers to shop at each table one at a time.  Please be respectful of others as you visit the farm, do not come in groups, and please wear a mask.  As previously reported and to bolster the safety of our staff and community, the farm is generally closed to visitors and that policy will continue until further notice.  If possible please bring your own tote bag or box.  Customers will be asked to pack their own purchases whenever possible and stay 6 feet apart.  We will have some paper bags on hand.  A box is recommended especially for seedlings.

If you visit the market on Saturday, you will meet our farm operations manager, Nella Stranieri.  She was pivotal in making the pop-up market happen.  Her role for the season will be field and market management.

Nella Stranieri

We thank all of our staff for their fearless dedication to the Farm and to the commuity we serve.

We appreciate your passion and support, and we hope to see you on Saturday!

With gratitude,

Rick White, NLT Chairman
Eva Schwartz, FAC Chairman
Leonore Russell, Education Director
