Upcoming Fundraisers in 2018
Mark your calendar and join us for one or all of our fundraisers. There’s something for everyone in our new Barnyard Event Series. We’re adding new food and beverage vendors, lots of exciting activities, different and fresh local bands, and more entertainment. Please note that our first Farm to Table dinner has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 27th, ticket prices, event, and menu details to follow shortly.

Annual Wine Tasting Event – A Night Under the Stars!

 

The Malverne Civic Association and Crossroads Farm are hosting their annual wine event on Friday, Sept. 21st from 7 – 9 PM. Join your friends and neighbors for a night of entertainment, light hors d’oeuvres and wine tasting. You’ll be entertained by the music of  Minus Ten, while you sip wine and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors at Crossroads Farm. We hope you can join us for a final hurrah to summer!

 

Tickets can be purchased in advance on-line or at the farm stand.

 
 
 

See What’s at the Farm Stand this Labor Day Weekend

The farm stand will be open on Monday, Sept 3rd – Labor Day from 10 AM – 3 PM. Stop in to get any of your last minute Labor Day BBQ needs.

 

We have local corn and other fresh summer produce at the farm this weekend. Here’s what you can expect:

Crossroads Farm’s:

Don’t give up on your home garden, Long Island has a great Autumn growing season. We have Fall seedlings including:

  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Brussels Sprouts
  • Collards
  • A variety of Lettuce
Produce:
  • string beans
  • tomatoes – Valencia & San Marzano
  • ground cherries
  • zucchini
  • cucumbers

 

We also make our own beautiful farm flower arrangements.

Super tasty (and healthy) food trucks are now coming to Crossroads from 11am to 4pm on the following dates.  Green Street (@greenstreetfoodtruck), featuring vegan food and smoothies, will be here on 9/2, 9/8, 9/16 & 9/23.  Juice Drive Juicery (@juicedrivejuicery), featuring smoothies, will be here on 8/30, 9/4, 9/5 & 9/12.
 


Volunteer Opportunities in September

 

 

Want to get involved?  Want to make a difference at the farm and in your community?  We have a vibrant and well organized volunteer program.

Come join us at the farm and enjoy a day outside while you get your hands dirty. We are maintaining the fields, sowing seeds, planting, transplanting and harvesting.  Join us and help us grow, learn some farming and biodynamic skills while you mingle with the staff and other volunteers.
