Young Farmers<\/em> Education Program<\/h1>\n

Each week, young farmers will work with Education Staff alongside Farm Staff to\u00a0experience what it takes to work on an organic urban farm. Seasonally appropriate activities include seeding, composting, weeding, harvesting and seed saving and more!<\/span><\/p>\n

Compost at Crossroads<\/strong><\/em><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

introduces our newest product, compost tea!<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Compost<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

– Half gallon container.
\n– Makes 32 gallons of\u00a0tea<\/span>.
\n– Put 2 ounces per gallon or 1 tablespoon for each quart of water.
\n– This is the organic\u00a0compost<\/span>\u00a0leachate from organic\u00a0composted<\/span>\u00a0pine shavings, hay and horse manure.
\n– Contains microorganisms which feed your soil and plants.
\n– Non-acidic\/neutral pH and not treated with lime.
\n–\u00a0Composted<\/span>\u00a0to between 130\u00b0F to 160\u00b0F to kill any weed seed and any potential pathogens.
\n– Approx. 180 ppm of nitrogen<\/span><\/p>\n

1 cubic yard for\u00a0$60.00<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

5 cubic yards for\u00a0$250.00<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

10 cubic yards for\u00a0\u00a0$450.00<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
